ITMA 2019

28 August 2019

From 20 to 26 June 2019, the umpteenth edition of the ITMA show, technological centre for the textile industry, was held.

Despite the fact that the textile world is principally dominated by Asia, there were also a large number of Italian companies present at the meeting: more than 360 Italian exhibitors.

We were the only pump manufacturing company that attended.

Our experience in this industry goes back a long way. Busto Arsizio (in the province of Varese) where we are located, was the heart of the Italian textile industry for decades. Over the years, we have played an active role in this market, supplying AODD and electrical centrifugal pumps, whose type and manufacturing materials have made them ideal for use in this industry.

In recent years, our R&D department has developed and patented a new pump model, the FULLFLOW 502, a unique pump of its kind. The new FULLFLOW 502 pump is fitted with flaps instead of the classic ball valves, which allow the passage of large-sized solids, reducing at the same time the crushing normally associated to the passage through balls and cages. Even though the maximum diameter for the passage of solids of 45 mm is not exclusive, the uniqueness for this type of pumps lies in the maximum length of the solids: 600 mm. Similarly, the pump features an exclusive patented circuit positioned below, perpendicularly to the fluid chambers instead of being in axis. The fluid dynamics of this choice ensure that the solids transit outside the pump casing, following a linear path at a lower level to the pump. The maximum flow rate is about 530 litres per minute.

We also presented our large sized AODD models, 2″ to 3″ double-diaphragm pneumatic pumps produced in Polypropylene, conductive Polypropylene, PVDF, Aluminium or AISI 316. These pumps can guarantee flows which can reach up to 1 cubic metre per minute.

As well as the large scale pumps, we were pleased to show off the smaller AODD pumps, ideal for pumping paints and solvents and also applicable on textile print machines. The models displayed included the Polypropylene and PVDF BOXER 7, the Polypropylene MIDGETBOX, the Polypropylene and ECTFE CUBIC 15 and the Polypropylene, PVDF, Aluminium and AISI 316 L BOXER 15.

2020 will also see us taking part in some interesting industry trade fairs so stay tuned on our Blog and social networks where you can find us!
